I was incredibly excited when first advised about Lisa & Natanya’s wedding and reception location.  At the best of times the Gold Coast Hinterland is an ideal background for weddings but the intimacy and splendour of the gardens provided by the Cedar Creek Lodge in Mt Tambourine was, in my opinion, going to be the perfect backdrop for two beautiful brides.  The Rainforest Amphitheatre of Cedar Creek Lodge was idea for Lisa & Natanya to confirm their love & devotion to each other surrounded by an intimate group of family and friends bearing witness.

Prior to Lisa & Natanya exchanging their vows they requested some candid photos of themselves roaming the Lodge’s gardens and again I was struck anew by the synergy between them and the adoration for each other that shined on their faces.  For two brides there was definitely no stress apparent, just the look of two ladies very much in love and looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.

With two such relaxed subjects and guests who were so happy to be part of their memorable day it was easy to capture many remarkable photos, but, none touched me as much as the moment I captured of the brides fathers hugging their girls.  It was the moment of sheer joy that reminded me that the one thing above all that any parent wants for their child is for them to find that other person that brings them joy and a sense of completion.  From the happiness radiating on these proud papa’s faces it was apparent that they believed that their daughters had found precisely that in each other.
