Jesse and Robert Wedding

When Dreamlife Photography were engaged for Jesse and Robertâ€™s wedding there was an absolute clamour for the honour of being the one going to the shoot. After all â€“ who would want to pass up the opportunity of a destination wedding when that destination was â€“ New York â€“ one of the greatest cities in the world. Sure, we love the sights of Sydney, the vivacity of downtown Melbourne and the atmosphere of Brisbane, but NYC is a dream.

The one thing you have to remember when youâ€™re photographing a destination wedding is to focus on the couple and their guests. This is one time when iconic scenery and sights has to take a back seat. The couple will undoubtedly take lots of visitor photographs on their own honeymoon sightseeing so a wedding photographer needs to strike the right balance between scenery and characters.

There was no such issue when it came to Jesse and Robertâ€™s reception. This has to have been one of the most spirited parties Iâ€™ve ever had the pleasure of shooting. It was joy and gaiety from start to finish and the dance floor was thumping.
